Corporate Services

The engine room of the Authority — the people, money, supplies and buildings that make clinical and public health work possible.

Role & responsibilities

Corporate Services rarely meets patients, but nothing else works without it. The directorate looks after the Authority's staff, funds, purchasing, property and transport.

  • Human resources — recruiting health workers, managing employment and payroll, and supporting staff development across the province.
  • Finance — budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, with the controls expected of a public authority.
  • Procurement — buying medicines, equipment and materials properly and at fair value.
  • Assets — maintaining hospital buildings, health centres, aid posts, vehicles and equipment.
  • Logistics — moving supplies and people along a province that stretches more than 300 kilometres.
